The re-opening concert at the  Teatro Comunale Maria Caniglia  is this coming Saturday, the 14th of December. It's Verdi's inimitable classic 'Rigoletto' and it promises to be a very special night. Tickets are on sale at the theatre ticket office right up until the performance.

There are still a few great day-trips and courses planned with this organisation based in Pescocostanzo before the end of the season. We thought you might particularly like to know about the introductory course in Nordic Walking being held on the 21st of September. Nordic Walking is a popular past-time here in Abruzzo but it has a special technique and you do need some basic equipment so a short course for beginners is probably a good idea. We're not sure if any of the guides and instructors speak English but you could probably get by on a 'smile & point' basis  welcome to Sulmona Facebook Page

The Maria Caniglia International Opera Competition, now in its 30th year, is a firm favourite on the annual calendar of events here in Sulmona. The competition attracts entrants from all over the world and this year we have competitors not  only from Italy but also from Moldavia, China, Japan, France, Poland, Canada, Ukraine, Uzbekistan and South Korea.  The various elimination rounds are today, tomorrow and Wednesday, the semis are on Thursday and Friday and the finals on Saturday the 15th of September. The early rounds are held in the auditorium of the Annunziata and the final will take place in the Cinema Pacifico on Via Roma.  In case you didn't already know, Maria Caniglia was one of Italy's leading Sopranos from the 1930s and 1940s. 今日の村はアブルッゾの ブニャラ「BUGNARA」 です。 ブニャラはスルモナからスカンノまでの道の途中のむらです。 この小さい村は歴史が多くて景色もすてきですよ。 夏には「ロマンチカ」という祭りを行われる。   この祭りには花が多く、てファーションSHOWもあります。

ヴァストの｜ ヴェントリチナ ｜は日本でアブルッゾの料理人から作られている VENTRICINA DEL VASTESE PRODOTTA IN GIAPPONE DA UNO CHEF ABRUZZESE  Ha percorso 9765.32 km, da Tokyo fino a Schiavi di Abruzzo, tetto dell'Alto Vastese. ヴェントリチナ は東京からアブルッゾの「スキャヴィ・ダブルッゾ」に戻りました。  E' tornata nella sua terra d'origine dopo aver attraversato mezzo mondo. E' la prima ventricina made in Japan che arriva in Abruzzo. 初めて日本で作られている ヴェントリチナ は 帰国しました。  Il prelibato insaccato è stato prodotto a Tokyo da Giuseppe Sabatino , originario di Castelguidone e da diversi anni titolare di un ristorante nel paese del Sol Levante.  作れた人はジュセッペ・サバテ イ ノさんです。ジュセッペさんは東京で有名なレストランがあります。 Sabatino ha voluto produrre nella terra dei samurai la ventricina tipica della sua terra, per deliziare il palato raffinato dei giapponesi.  ジュセッペさんは日本の方においしいヴェントリチナを食べさせたかったから日本でヴェントリチナを作りました。 Un vero ambasciatore dei gusti e della tradizione gastronomica abruzzese nel mondo.
